MyPlate is an online program from the FDA to help people make healthy eating choices. It replaces the old food pyramid, which many people found confusing. MyPlate divides food into five categories (fruits, vegetables, protein, grains, and dairy) and gives guidelines of how much of each you should eat at each meal in order to either maintain or lose weight. MyPlate has many tools that you can explore on your own atMyPlate.gov, including an app you can download to your phone to track food and calories, recipes that fit your diet, and quizzes to see how much you have learned. It is an entire healthy eating program that you can use to guide your healthy eating choices.
